Building World Live

August 2026 3 min read

A look at how the EFFEMUSICPROD World Live experience — a full-screen, always-on window into the project — is being built.

Building World Live

EFFEMUSICPROD World Live is more than a screen on the website — it is a living window onto the world, bringing together time, weather, news, music and visual moments in one continuous experience designed to accompany the music.

What's inside it

The idea grew a little at a time, module by module. So far it brings together:

  • A world clock, to keep a sense of time zones and distance
  • Weather snapshots from a few cities
  • A running news ticker
  • A small showcase of music and film moments, purely for atmosphere

Everything is automated and loops on its own — no buttons, no waiting for input. It's meant to sit in the background the way a radio or a TV in a studio corner would: present, but never demanding attention.

It's less a tool and more a mood — a way of making the site feel alive without asking anything of the person looking at it.

Why bother

EFFEMUSICPROD has always been about atmosphere as much as sound. World Live is really an extension of that idea into the visual side of the site — a small, quiet piece of world-building around the music. It's still evolving, and each version has taught me something about what actually feels calm versus what just feels busy. More to come as it develops.
